I GET U WELL is a smoking reduction and self-help application designed to help users understand their smoking habits, gradually reduce cigarette use, track progress, and manage cravings.

This Privacy Policy explains what information I GET U WELL collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to users.

Information stored on your device

I GET U WELL is designed to work primarily as a local-first application. Information related to your use of the app may be stored locally on your device, including:

  • Smoking baseline information
  • Reduction plan information and progress
  • Craving-session information
  • App settings and preferences
  • Notification-related settings

Account information

Creating an account is optional. If you choose to create an account, we collect information necessary to provide the account, including:

  • Your email address
  • A unique account/user identifier
  • Authentication information necessary to maintain your account and session

Password authentication is handled through our authentication service provider. We do not store your plaintext password.

Synced app information

If you create or use an account, certain app information may be securely synchronized with our cloud service, including smoking-related settings, baseline information, reduction-plan information, cigarette logs, craving information, and related app data required to provide account synchronization.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used to:

  • Provide the app's smoking tracking and reduction features
  • Learn your smoking pattern when you choose to complete a baseline period
  • Create and maintain your gradual reduction plan
  • Calculate progress and smoking-related statistics
  • Provide craving-support features
  • Save app settings and preferences
  • Provide optional account authentication and synchronization
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the service
  • Provide customer support when requested

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

I GET U WELL uses third-party service providers where necessary to operate certain features.

Supabase

Supabase provides account authentication and cloud database services used for optional accounts and synchronization. Information associated with an account may be processed and stored through Supabase.

Resend

Resend is used to deliver transactional account emails, such as email verification and password-recovery messages. Your email address may be processed by Resend when these messages are sent.

These providers process information to provide services to I GET U WELL and are subject to their own security and privacy practices.

4. Local Storage and Cloud Storage

I GET U WELL is designed to remain useful without requiring an account.

Guest users can use the core app with information stored locally on their device.

When a user chooses to create an account, eligible local information may be synchronized to our cloud service to support account-related functionality.

5. Notifications

I GET U WELL may request permission to send notifications related to app functionality, such as smoking-plan reminders or progress-related information.

Notification permission is optional and can be changed through your device settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information or smoking-related information.

Information is disclosed to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the app and its account, email, hosting, and synchronization functionality, or when disclosure is required by law.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by I GET U WELL.

Internet communications and cloud services involve inherent security risks, and no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention

Local app information remains on your device until it is removed through app functionality, application data is cleared, or the application is uninstalled, subject to the behavior of your device and operating system.

Account-associated cloud information is retained while needed to provide the account and associated services, unless deletion is requested or retention is otherwise required or permitted by law.

9. Account and Data Deletion

Users with an I GET U WELL account can initiate permanent account deletion from within the app.

Go to:

Settings → Account → Delete Account

Account deletion permanently deletes the account and associated cloud account data handled by I GET U WELL, subject to information that may need to be retained where legally required.

10. Your Choices

You can:

  • Use the core app without creating an account
  • Choose whether to create an account and synchronize eligible information
  • Choose whether to allow notifications
  • Delete your account from within the app
  • Contact us with privacy questions or requests

11. Children's Privacy

I GET U WELL is intended for adults seeking to reduce or stop smoking. It is not designed or intended for children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through the app.

12. Health Information and Medical Disclaimer

Information entered into I GET U WELL concerning smoking habits and cravings may be sensitive personal information.

I GET U WELL uses this information to provide its smoking-tracking, reduction-plan, progress, and craving-support functionality.

I GET U WELL is a self-help tool and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional regarding medical questions or concerns.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our services, or applicable requirements change.

When we make changes, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
